This position is for a student Graphic Designer in the Office of Marketing and Brand Management.

This position will begin August 24, 2020

Duties & Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for completion of graphic design assignments. The emphasis of this position will be to design visual materials needed to promote the University, its programs and operations. The graphic designer wil report to the Executive Director of Marketing and work with other University designers.

  • Create print pieces such as posters, brochures, flyers, invitations, and other promotional materials
  • Create digital designs including web ads, digital billboards, and social media posts.
  • Maintain brand consistency. Produce designs in compliance with the goals and mission of WLU and the established image of the University.
  • Maintain a file of all original materials developed for the Marketing Department and other clients.
  • Communicate with the Director of Marketing, designers, outside print shops and clients as needed to coordinate projects.
  • Completion of other duties assigned by the Director of Marketing and designers.
Qualifications
  • Must be a currently enrolled WLU student.
  • Knowledge about design elements, such as color and composition, is vital for graphic designers. Artistic ability and creativity are essential.
  • Ability to use Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, is required.
  • Problem solving, logic and reasoning skills.
  • Interpersonal skills, cooperation and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Photography skills are a plus.
