Website Content Writer - Farrell Equipment & Supply Co., Inc. - Eau Claire, WI

Farrell Equipment & Supply is looking to hire a Web Copywriter to join our growing marketing team. The Website Copywriter will be responsible for writing content for our website that follows best SEO (search engine optimization) practices. You will be in charge of creating blog posts on our website related to our products as well as techniques related to the construction and concrete industry. You will also be tasked with writing product descriptions for our website.

Since 1968, Farrell Equipment has serviced the construction industry with the best and latest in equipment, tools, and supplies. We are a family owned and operated business, headquartered in Eau Claire, WI. We pride ourselves on being a welcoming and friendly workplace.

Job requirements:

• Must have an Associates or Bachelors degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Creative Writing or similar degree
• 2 years of relevant experience in copywriting
• Must have a portfolio with relevant written literature
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Have excellent communication skills; both written and oral are required
• Must be willing to research and eager to learn about products, vendors, and the construction/concrete industry to ensure written content is accurate and informational
• Must be organized and able to multitask
• Knowledge of search engines and optimization of website content
• Knowledge of construction tools and equipment is a plus but not necessary

Job responsibilities:

• Write and edit product descriptions on our website while following SEO best practices
• Create engaging and accurate blog posts on products, vendors, techniques, etc. for our website
• Write optimized page descriptions and meta descriptions for web search
• Assist with writing and editing social media post to ensure posts are grammatically correct
• Review copywriting for the marketing department as a whole

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour
