Web Developer - The Wellness Network - Eau Claire, WI

The Wellness Network, a leader in patient education and engagement solutions, is looking for a motivated Web Application Developer to join a team responsible for our in-house and proprietary software solutions.

Our development group is based in Eau Claire, WI, but many of us work remotely and will consider candidates in the central/eastern time zone.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate complex application code to meet the design specifications for simple to moderately complex enhancements or change requests.
• Design, develop, and implement JavaScript solutions leveraging Typescript, React, and Node.js
• Perform thorough unit testing and correct identified defects.
• Work with the testing team to resolve issues and to ensure software quality.
• Provide application support including complex problem research, analysis, resolution and on-call support.
• Recommend improvements to existing software programs.
• Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle Standards (SDLCS) and applicable Data and Technology Services Policies and Standards.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced developers and analysts.
• Regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.

Required Skills

• BS/BA in Computer Science, or equivalent education and related training
• 3+ years developing in React and Typescript
• 3+ years of web development experience using HTML5, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript ES5/ES6.
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
• Good verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as a member of a team

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing RESTful server applications in Node.js, NoSQL
• Experience developing applications in .NET Core, C#, and MSSQL
• Working knowledge state management using Redux or NGRX
• Experience building service-oriented APIs and cloud service
