Summary

The Web Developer works with our business units to achieve our digital goals. This position requires a hands-on professional with strong knowledge of content management platforms and an ability to translate our business needs into functionality that will expand our website’s usability. Responsible for updating our current online applications as well as developing and implementing a usability testing process to ensure that website applications meet our company’s requirements.

Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:
Create applications following the phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC)

Develop comprehensive application testing procedures

Update existing applications to meet the company’s security and functionality standards

Implement testing tools that monitor the ongoing performance of the company websites

Assist in updating application development policies to ensure that all future applications meet the latest technical requirements

Write well designed, testable and efficient code by using best software development practices

Deep expertise and hands on experience with web applications, website creation and programming languages

Integrate data from various back-end services and databases

Gather and refine technical specifications and requirements based on business needs

Create and maintain software documentation

Responsible for maintaining, expanding and scaling our websites

Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them to our company’s operations and activities

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred)

2+ years’ experience in application development and testing

1+ years’ SDLC implementation experience

Experience with JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, E-Commerce, Teamwork, Verbal Communication, cross-browser compatibility, Web User Interface Design (UI), Security Principles, Object-Oriented Design, Web Services (REST/SOAP), Multimedia Content Development, API's, SQL and C#

Ability to create support documentation for all new applications

Strong teamwork skills

Proven knowledge of the most current security and web development programming languages

Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills

Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret. Ability to effectively communicate to managers and other employees of the organization.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of specifications and information furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
