Our geographically distributed engineers and DevOps teams engage using industry leading platforms, tools, and practices in a mixture of live and virtual collaborations. V2X is hiring multiple Electrical Engineers that range in seniority to support Radio Frequency (RF) engineering, systems testing and analysis efforts across several projects. Candidates should have interest in performing Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing and evaluations, RF propagation modeling, and engineering analysis of wireless communication systems, radars, and antennas. This position is available as a hybrid telework position perfect for commuters in the Virginia and Maryland areas, with approximately 50% of the time remote. Potential to be on travel for 7-10 days for RF Engineering Test events. Responsibilities: Performing modeling and simulation, using advanced RF software suites and propagation tools, for various RF systems including DOD radars, Naval systems, and commercial wireless 5G communication systems. Calculating RF link budgets and performing coupling analysis to identify operating capabilities and feasibilities of DOD and other spectrum dependent systems. Performing Site Surveys to measure and quantify the RF environment at DOD and commercial facilities. Performing shipboard testing on Navy vessels. Analyzing and mitigating potential EMI between different Naval vessels and systems. Qualifications: Bachelor’s (4 year) degree from an accredited College or University in a related STEM field Master of Science in Electrical Engineering desired. Clearance Requirement: All candidates must hold an active DoD SECRET Clearance. Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to track, manage, and prioritize individual’s tasks required. Flexibility to working independently and as part of a larger group required.
