Pillar is currently on the lookout for a UX/UI Developer to join our Morgantown, WV team. This position will be based out of our Morgantown office. We are looking for individuals who get excited about tackling a different challenge daily and are willing to adapt based on the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:


Job Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, and test existing software systems and new applications using state of the art software languages and tools
  • Develop and execute software development plans according to Pillar Development methodology on small to medium sized projects
  • Experience with the Agile Scrum and Kanban development methodologies
  • Work with Software Solutions Manager to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development
  • Develop maintainable code that matches specifications
  • Develop solutions to specifications which may not be well defined but satisfy the needs of the customer
  • Working knowledge of common software design patterns and anti-patterns
  • Using GIT to maintain software baselines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Create and maintain relevant documentation

Qualifications:


Job Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field
  • 4-9 years of experience in software or web/mobile development OR 2-7 years of experience with a master’s Degree
  • Proficient with MS Office productivity software
  • Proficient in JavaScript and Angular 2+
  • Design software for Cloud based computer platforms
  • Able to balance multiple projects and efficiently organize work tasks to meet company goals
  • Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and in team environments
  • Basic Understanding of Agile/Scrum Methodologies
  • Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated with good communication skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism while interacting with customers, with an aptitude to answer technical questions in a simplified manner
  • Able to work a flexible schedule and adjust to changing business needs
  • Experience in Python & Git a plus
  • Willingness to participate in Pillar Innovation’s Drug and Alcohol policy, which includes pre-employment, random, post-accident and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing as requested
