The Position:

As our Podcast Editor, you'll be responsible for editing weekly podcast episodes that connect workplace topics to Arbinger’s work. You'll curate content from interviews conducted by other Arbinger interviewers into mixed and finalized episodes in a way that addresses the needs of business leaders. We're looking for a seasoned storyteller to efficiently create these audio documentaries.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular self-assessments using Arbinger’s internal 3A+ tool to gauge and enhance individual performance and impact.
  • Create and edit episodes that follow the theme, format, and overall direction of the podcast.
  • Creatively edit and mix podcast episodes by utilizing Arbinger’s interview library—which contains interviews hosted by various team members.
  • Exhibit strong research and script-writing abilities to fill content gaps in episodes in relevant, engaging, and on-brand ways.
  • Display problem-solving skills and initiative to address technical and creative challenges during editing.
  • Work closely with the Executive Producer to ensure content alignment between the podcast episodes and marketing campaigns.
  • Create and curate content to generate a strong followership.

Required Capabilities:

  • Excellent writing and storytelling skills; ability to tailor content to our overall audience of business leaders while highlighting the nuance of the different industries we work with.
  • Expertise in mixing and sound design.
  • Ability to develop a comprehensive understanding and appreciation for our customers.
  • Boundless imagination with the ability to formulate and communicate original ideas.
  • Demonstrates exceptional composure and clarity of thought even in high-stress situations, ensuring effective decision-making and leadership.
  • Excels in building and maintaining relationships, effectively conveying ideas, and attentively understanding others, fostering a collaborative and harmonious work environment.
  • Possesses the ability to critically assess situations, identify root causes, and develop innovative solutions to complex challenges, driving organizational success.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Calendly

Preferred Capabilities:

  • A strong sense of urgency and responsiveness with the ability to multitask.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Skilled in long-term planning and visioning, aligning goals and resources to achieve overarching objectives, and ensuring sustainable growth and competitive advantage.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    2+ years of recent (within the last 6 months) storytelling editing experience required.
  • 1+ years of audio mixing experience or related professional experiences.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Compensation: Starting from $68k
