Test Engineer

Title: Test Engineer Location: Auburn Hills, MI Duration: Long Term Contract Education: Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent from an ABET accredited University Experience: 0-3 years of experience in automotive engine/powertrain dynamometer test labs Description: - Powertrain Lab Operations - GME T6/T4 HO Test Support Engineer will be responsible for maintaining lab operations for product development engineering teams involved with optimization of engine performance, fuel economy, and emissions. Responsibilities: - Building engine/powertrain test schedules, diagnosing engine dynamometer test cell systems, coordinating repairs, data integrity review, and maintaining operational efficiency throughout the lab. - The Test Support Engineer will manage projects including the design and buildup of fixtures to expand test capabilities, improve data integrity, and increase testing throughout the lab. Investigate new ways of getting proper engine data and improving the testing that is done to develop new engine programs. Skills: - Background in engine combustion & fundamentals - Background in engine/transmission mechanics - Will be required to drive a company car. A valid driver's license is required as well as a clean driving record.
