Texas oncology is looking for Telephone Operator to join our team! This position will support Texas Oncology Granbury. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country and has approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. The ideal candidate for the position will have the following background and experience: High school diploma is required
At least a year working in a Medical office, must know how a medical office works
A great team player with excellent communication and multitasking skills

What does the position do?
The Telephone operator is responsible for answering phone calls Via our Navigating Cancer telephone operating tool and switch board. The telephone operator will serve as a liaison between patients and medical staff to ensure top level patient care.

The essential duties and responsibilities: Courteously and efficiently answers all incoming calls and connects callers with the correct extension.
Responds to emergency and urgent calls from patients in a timely manner. Directs callers immediately to clinical staff as necessary. Demonstrates understanding of patient confidentiality to protect patient and practice.
Performs operator functions including triaging calls; connecting and transferring calls; setting up conference calls; instructing users on telephone procedures; and reporting telephone and equipment malfunctions to the appropriate party.
