Overview The Technical Writer II is responsible for developing, updating, publishing and delivering end-user software manuals and online help, instructor and student guides, training scripts, and other documentation in support of IGT products for technical and non-technical users. Development often requires hand-on learning and research and working with engineers, technical trainers and other subject matter experts to gather data. Responsibilities * Work with products, in conjunction with specifications, use cases, and other materials to develop documentation for new products and customize existing documentation for customer deliveries as needed. * Develop a variety of documentation user and training task-based software and hardware documentation. * May entail participation in meetings and work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in other offices in different time zones requiring a flexible work schedule as needed. * Create online help files from native source files for implementation into IGT applications. * Assist training staff members with documentation development as requested to support product development or a customer request or project. * Fulfill ad hoc documentation requests. * Adhere to established templates, policies and procedures. * Interface with printers, translators and other third-party companies to complete deliverables. * Research and implement innovative methods for the development and delivery of documentation. * Work under the supervision lead Technical Writer and the Sr. Manager.
