Be audit you can be! Join the Accounting team in Yellowstone National Park!

As a member of Yellowstone's Accounting department, you will help monitor cash and maintain accurate data throughout the day. Cash handling experience is necessary for an Auditor position. Night and Traveling Night Auditors will primarily be responsible for data entry - ensuring accurate information is sent to the General Accounting Office. Experience and familiarity with Microsoft Excel is essential in both day and night positions.

  • Schedule: Varies – ~40+ hours per week
  • Location: Throughout Yellowstone National Park

Responsibilities
Applicants for an Accounting job will be considered for the following positions, based on skill level:


Traveling Night Auditor


  • Must provide your own transportation!
    Paid mileage and drive time.
  • Support the location accounting department by compiling and summarizing the location's daily sales. You will travel between two locations throughout the week. You will generally work in the middle of the night, without direct supervision at location, with a focus on organization and data entry.


Night Auditor

  • Support the location accounting department by compiling and summarizing the location's daily sales. The Night Auditor generally works in the middle of the night, without direct supervision at location, with a focus on organization and data entry.


Audit Clerk

  • Responsible for counting the money that is turned in by various cashiers. Prepare the bank deposit from the previous day's business, make change for other departments, and cash checks throughout the day. Previous cash handling experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Able to work independently; often sitting and/or standing for long periods.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Motivational, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures.
  • Office machine skills, especially PC experience.
  • Knowledge of the following PC software: MS Word®, MS Excel®, MS Outlook®.
  • Knowledge of the following AS/400® software: LMS®.
  • Knowledge of Kronos or other payroll software.
  • Ability to perform majority of work while sitting at a desk.
  • Physical stamina and conditioning is required to withstand extensive walking, lifting, and transporting of supplies and equipment. This function may include loading company vehicles, moving supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds to and from work stations on location (up to 100 yards).
  • Experience with handling confidential information.
