(Student Position) Grounds Maintenance Seasonal - Northern Wyoming Community College District - Sheridan, WY

The Grounds seasonal employee must be able to perform grounds maintenance & landscaping tasks for Sheridan College. Report to grounds supervisor with support from full time grounds personnel.

Understanding of grounds care, chemical usage, and grounds equipment operation and maintenance
• Understanding of pesticides, herbicides, horticulture, tree care, mulching, fencing
• Operation of equipment, string trimmers, chain saw, hedge shears, blowers and lawn mowing equipment, snow blower, hand tools, etc.
• Communication skills required
• Computer skills
• Ability to organize work tasks and work independently
• Establish a safe working environment
• Ability to relate to others in a safe and positive manner
• Wear proper attire for safety and appearance

• All Weather Conditions
• Outdoor work with exposure to all elements-heat, rain, snow, ice, dust, mud, etc.
• Ability to lift 50lbs

Maintenance of grounds: lawn maintenance, landscaping & planting, irrigation, pruning, pick up trash, mulching, snow removal, application of anti-skid & salt, watering, string trimming, hardscape, support to physical plant, maintenance of equipment.
