(Student Position) Enrollment Services Specialist Assistant - Northern Wyoming Community College District - Sheridan, WY

This position will assist with two areas within Enrollment Services. The Information Desk area would assist with answering calls for the institution, provide parking permits, assist with directions throughout campus, and provide excellent customer service. The other area is within the multiple departments that comprise Enrollment Services. Students will assist staff in Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid, and Records with tours, scanning, linking, filing, mailings, and other office support duties

Reports To
Matt Adams, Assistant Director of Admissions, Data Management
Education/Qualifications
  • Good Conduct and Academic Standing with the college
  • Sheridan College Student currently enrolled
  • Cumulative GPA is 2.0 or greater
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Understanding of FERPA
  • Basic filing knowledge such as alphabetizing and ensuring accuracy
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of office equipment
  • Maintaining confidentiality regarding student files and personal information
  • Basic functions of Enrollment Services offices
  • Ability to work well with staff
  • Excellent customer service
  • Ability to work a multiline phone
  • Excellent customer service including written and verbal communication
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Office environment with limited lifting up to 50 lbs

Responsibility/Duty
  • Provide Campus Tours to potential students
  • Maintain and file student files to ensure information is organized and up to date.
  • Assist with student events such as orientation, campus events, and high school visits
  • Make appointments
  • Assist with scanning in ImageNow software
  • Be knowledgeable in Colleague and Recruit
  • Answer phones and front desk coverage
  • Assist walk-in traffic
  • Assist staff as needed
  • Be available for Call Nights throughout the semester
  • Other duties including, but not limited to assisting with miscellaneous projects, creating packets, binding manuals, etc
