Amazon is seeking a self-motivated, creative, and analytical Sr. Program Manager to lead our Global Fulfillment Centers (FC) and Headquarters Tours programs. This role is based in Amazon's offices in Seattle and will manage teams across North America and Europe, leading and scaling our existing public tours programs.
*This position can be located in Seattle, Nashville, or Arlington/DC (HQ2).*

This position will be responsible for expanding the FC Tours and Headquarters Tours Program and enhancing all elements globally. This role will manage a growing team and work closely with stakeholders across the business to drive a consistent, comprehensive, and an ever-improving tour experience. This is a highly visible position that will drive a key component of the company's strategy, showing the public what happens once they order a product on Amazon and what it's like to work at the company.

The successful candidate will be extremely customer-focused and passionate about helping us deliver a world-class tour experience to visitors across our 45+ sites globally, as well as helping others who can't come visit themselves understand how our operations work. You will help establish and realize the long-term vision for the program by leading creative and operational projects in tour administration, program marketing, website creation and management, metrics reporting, and much more. You will need to influence and support communication colleagues across the region and work with a broad stakeholder groups from all levels of the organization to establish business priorities, set ambitious goals, and develop strategies to track and exceed those goals. You will be an independent entrepreneurial spirit, acting as a self-directed leader with experience leading high-performing teams. You have the capacity to move quickly with an unrelenting tenacity to get things done, and the ability to break down and solve complex problems. You have a history of thinking and acting big, exercising a bias for action coupled with thoughtful experimentation. You stay connected to the details of the business, while balancing creativity with analytics and agility with operational discipline. You must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Candidates should be both idea generators and builders, with a strong sense of accountability, and a keen focus on delivering great customer experiences with strong, measurable results. You thrive in a culture of decision-making based on analytics. You are comfortable diving deep into the data, yet able to step-back and communicate both the strategic and immediate implications on priorities. You build scaled mechanisms to manage a global team and stay close to the details of their operation and budget; a business savvy with excellent judgment. Finally, this leader will be known for maintaining composure and steady vision in a fast moving, dynamic environment.

  • Specific responsibilities and strategic objectives include:
  • Working through leaders on your team to oversee FC and Headquarters Tours at over 45 locations in North America and Europe
  • Writing complex documents to both help establish your vision and provide regular updates to senior leaders and other stakeholders
  • Developing strong processes that will allow the team to scale
  • Hire, manage, mentor and develop employees within and beyond the team
  • Managing a heavily matrixed organization and influencing a wide range of stakeholders who don't report to you and may have competing priorities
  • Setting and delivering on short-term and long-term goals
  • Owning and auditing program metrics
  • Constantly improving the standard operating procedures for Tours
  • Understanding and helping manage program Advertising and Marketing with regional differences

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • 7+ years of experience delivering cross functional projects
  • 7+ years of experience in program or project management
  • 7+ years of experience managing teams
  • 7+ years of experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Travel will be required
