We are seeking a highly motivated Radar and Missile Systems Simulation Engineer, Mid-Level to support Department of Defense (DoD) efforts focused on the development and maintenance of high-fidelity simulations for radar and missile systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in engineering or physical sciences, firsthand experience in software development, and a deep understanding of modeling and simulation in both Linux and Windows environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain simulation models for radar and missile systems.
Implement and optimize algorithms using C/C++, Python, and/or MATLAB.
Integrate and validate simulation components in a multi-platform (Linux and Windows) environment.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define system requirements and support testing and analysis activities.
Develop tools for simulation control, data analysis, and visualization.
Document technical designs, software changes, and test results following project standards.
Participate in code reviews, configuration management, and version control practices.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Education Requirements and Desired Skillsets
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Aerospace), Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
3-7 years of professional experience in modeling and simulation development, specifically with radar and/or missile systems.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, and/or MATLAB.
Strong experience working in both Linux and Windows development environments.
Familiarity with software engineering best practices, including debugging, version control (e.g., Git), and testing frameworks.
Ability to analyze complex technical problems and communicate solutions effectively.
Experience with real-time or hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation environments.
Knowledge of radar signal processing or missile guidance and control systems.
Exposure to agile development methodologies.
Active or previously held U.S. government security clearance.
Physical Description
Employees in these roles will work in a typical office environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, and video conferencing tools. Responsibilities include regular use of computer software, engaging with diverse personnel, participating in meetings, and contributing to team objectives by delivering timely outcomes and generating reports. Key duties involve effectively receiving and communicating information.
The role may allow for occasional telework and may require flexible shifts or hours to meet organizational needs and business demands. Periodic travel may also be necessary to support assigned tasks.
