Position Overview:

The Business Analyst will work remotely and closely with the Appian development team, playing a pivotal role in understanding and translating business needs into system requirements. This role involves performing detailed business process analysis, ensuring that the Appian applications align with business objectives and requirements while considering the constraints and capabilities of legacy systems such as SAMIS and CMCS.

Essential Job Functions

Analyze business processes and requirements, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Translate business needs into system requirements, working closely with the Appian development team to ensure they understand and can meet these requirements.
Assist in the application development and rationalization process, ensuring optimal configuration and use of Appian applications.
Collaborate with refactoring and modernization teams to ensure Appian applications are up to date and efficient.
Understand legacy systems such as SAMIS and CMCS, and ensure that their capabilities and constraints are factored into Appian application development.
Ensure information assurance and quality assurance in all Appian applications.
Minimum Position Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years consulting and/or directly relevant industry experience.AA or 2yr Tech School w/2+ years
Proven experience as a business analyst, specifically within Appian development.
Experience with refactoring and modernization efforts.
Knowledge of and experience with legacy systems such as SAMIS and CMCS - - NATURAL, COBOL, ADABAS, FOCUS.
Strong knowledge of business process analysis, application development, and system administration.
Familiarity with Appian software and its application within a business context.
Understanding of legacy systems such as SAMIS and CMCS- - NATURAL, COBOL, ADABAS, FOCUS.
Experience with refactoring and modernization efforts.
Ability to work in a cross-functional team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills.
Occasional travel may be required for team meetings and trainings.
Must be a US Citizen and must be located in the continental United States.
