SierTek Ltd. is seeking a Data Analyst to support an opportunity at the Wright Patterson AFB, OH (Remote or On-Site).

 

Position Overview

 

The Data Analyst shall provide subject matter expertise to USAFSAM Department of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM/FE), Aerospace Medicine Studies and Analysis Division (FES), Operational Support Team (FESO). FESO was established to provide support to Base Operational Support Teams in the field, oversee program development, data analysis, education, training, and field consultative support. The FESO branch is responsible for supporting embedded medical providers with evidence-based practices and real-time data analytics dashboard of Musculo-skeletal and mental health risk down to the squadron level. In addition, the FESO branch directs all aspects of an embedded Integrated Operational Support (IOS) training course held at USAFSAM. The team regularly conducts data audits, research, and evaluation of programming effectiveness, and tracking of programmatic measures of success. This requirement is for expertise that is to be located within the FESO branch of the FES Division, to support USAFSAM and AFMC in providing data and visual analytic support for the AFMC Sexual Assault Risk Analysis.

 

Essential Job Functions

 

Assist in designing, formulating, conducting, and leading data analysis of operational studies on health surveillance data/health records/other relevant military records and risk reduction of negative health outcomes affecting the USAF total force population. The contractor employee shall use judgement and originality in developing innovative approaches to define and resolve highly complex situations.
Assist in the management of the retrieval and integration of health information data, personnel records, deployment-related records, health surveillance registries, and other military-related data into usable format for end-users.
Assist in data collection in support of USAFSAM/FESO’s mission.
Draft reports, prepare, and/or present reports, documents, and/or presentations pertaining to the status of the research and data analysis as requested, and meet FESO projected suspense’s.
Present results of studies or investigations through briefings, technical reports, and publication into scientific journals.
Apply knowledge of science/technology to analyze and resolve multifaceted issues/problems with minimal guidance and collaborate with technical area stakeholders to develop strategies for effective execution within a particular technology area.
Assist in teaching the data analytics section of the Operational Support Team (OST) course.
Provide consultation support to OST assigned at base level.
Interface with USAFSAM/FESO leadership and staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements

 

Possess a MPH, MS, or PhD in Epidemiology, Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics or other similar degree as approved by USAFSAM/FESO.
Possess advanced analytical skills to include visual analytics in population health and health data surveillance.
Possess the ability to design, formulate, conduct, and lead data analysis of operational studies on health surveillance data/health records/other relevant military records and risk reduction of negative health outcomes affecting the USAF total force population.
Proficient in the following software programs: Microsoft Office, SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, and Adobe Acrobat.
Current in Scientific and Technical Information (STINFO) training.
Current in Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training to be able to access and process identified medical data.
Possess the capacity to learn new analytical technology tools such as Tableau, Python, R, SAS Viya, or Qualtrics.
Sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) in place with their company based on the potential access to confidential, proprietary, and/or sensitive information.
Ability to successfully pass a Tier I background check.
Experience within a health analytics related field and working with USAF related data is desired (Highly Desired).
