Full Job Description
Job Summary:
- The Vacutech Shipping Assistant works Monday thru Friday 6:00am-4:30pm with five (5) peers to ship vacuum system and small part orders in a safe and quality manner. The shipping associate is responsible for the activities relating to picking, packing, auditing and shipping. Shift hours are subject to change with overtime available on week nights and weekends to load shipping trucks. Employees receive a 20 minute morning break, 45 minute lunch break and 20 minute afternoon break. Forklift experience is a benefit however training will be provided. Job Duties:
- Always treat safety as a number one priority
- Assist the shipping team pick, pack, audit, band, heat-shrink and ship vacuum system orders
- Strive to exceed quality expectations
- Operate forklift to ship LTL/full-load trucks
Qualifications:
- Forklift driver qualification (preferred)
- Experience with general use on computer systems, Microsoft Office (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive, engaged and focused attitude
- Ability to work in a positive team environment
- Dependable attendance
- Extreme attention to detail when working with parts counts and pulls
