What we’re looking for:

JB Systems is looking for a motivated, hard working and experienced Sales /Marketing Manager to manage and execute tasks for our sales department in our Downtown Eau Claire Creative Headquarters. The ideal candidate will be energetic, possess a strong work ethic, strong project management skills, as well as the ability to be able to work independently. Attention to detail, person-to-person communication skills, and meeting critical deadlines are key elements of this position.

About The Role:
The Sales/Marketing Director will be responsible for managing and facilitating sales for leads, prospects and existing clients of JB Systems.

You will be responsible for all aspects of a sale, including responding to initial leads, scheduling of client meetings, generation of a proposal and any subsequent follow-up. You will have the opportunity to think creatively and work with the JB Systems team on presenting custom web solutions to prospective and existing clients. Building a relationship with your clients is a necessary part of the job, communication and people skills are a must. While you will work primarily independently, you will work closely with other departments to schedule projects and facilitate necessary invoicing and contracts.


  • Respond to inquiries via JB Systems website and phone for new projects.;
  • Schedule meetings with clients for new project inquiries and act as their consultant;
  • Document meeting notes and generate a proposal based on project specs;
  • Effectively follow up with leads & prospects;
  • Understand details about JB Systems products and services and be able to communicate solutions to clients and/or prospective clients;
  • Work with JB Systems Project Management team in providing an accurate estimated project timeline for new proposals;
  • Coordinate bi-weekly Sales meeting with select internal staff and provide a weekly report of current sales projections, leads, recently closed, etc…;
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through events and seminars for networking and prospect opportunities
  • Utilize digital marketing and social media for new sales and connecting with our audience
  • Maintain touch points with existing clients for opportunity to upsell and/or propose services
  • Meet annual sales goals
  • Gather feedback from customers or prospects to share with the team


  • Proven experience as a director of sales and or marketing

Ability to take initiative, employ good judgment and manage client relationships;

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills;
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Basic knowledge of web platforms, content management systems and SEO;
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing and social media
  • Sales planning and prospecting skills
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to give clearly define solutions to clients and technicals to programmers;
  • Ability to meet deadlines and communicate status of your assignments with team and clients;
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team;

Bonus Qualifications:
Working in an agency environment is a plus
3+ years experience or internship(s) is a plus
