Summary of Position: The marketing manager plays an integral role in executing marketing and communications of the Greater Green Bay Chamber. Under the direction of the vice president of marketing & communications, the manager serves as account executive and writer for designated department/programs’ marketing needs, becoming a subject matter expert in those areas of the Chamber.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as assigned account executive and writer for designated Chamber department/programs’ marketing and communications needs including communication plan creation, writing, editing, social media communication, videos, scripts, marketing collateral, website content, etc.
  • Create, route and schedule social media in keeping with Chamber-wide social media content calendar for posting on all core Chamber social media accounts on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Contribute social media content and communications plans at the program level.
  • Create and execute marketing and communication plans for designated Chamber department/programs’ needs for Chamber events, programs, initiatives and projects. In that vein, own and coordinate content for all traditional communications as well as updates to website, newsletter articles, e-communications including evites and e-communications (in keeping with the department’s master calendar), social media communication, Chamber magazine, news releases and other PR outreach, event scripts, video scripts, etc.
  • Edit and proofread other department staff’s writing and collaborate with staff graphic designer.
  • Coordinate production of traditional and digital communications and marketing in keeping with defined Chamber brand, subbrands, identity standards, messaging and program-specific strategic initiatives; become a brand expert to ensure logos and messaging are in alignment with the Chamber’s defined brand and identity standards, Chamber’s mission, vision and strategic initiatives and targeted audience(s).
  • Use the Chamber’s online tool, Smartsheet, to receive, process, manage and complete marketing and communication projects.
  • As needed, manage the marketing communications intern.

Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or journalism. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in marketing and communications, be an excellent writer who grasps Associated Press (AP) style, be a keen editor and proofreader, be able to take the initiative to manage appropriate processes, have project management experience and enjoy working in a collaborative, cross-team capacity.
