RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


Work closely with product departments to ensure you’re creating accurate content that also helps support business needs by:

  • Researching, gathering, and authoring content for a variety of marketing channels including but not limited to print flyers/catalogs, newsletters, product detail pages, specialty pages, and learning center.
  • Reviewing current content in Akeneo (website database) for the website to find and correct grammatical, spelling, syntax, punctuation, factual and other errors. As well as tightening and polishing content to conform to company brand guidelines.
  • Entering new product content into Akeneo ensuring consistent style and voice as well as adhering to company brand guidelines.
  • Ensuring content addresses appropriate industry, product, market and branding factors that impact our business.
  • Establishing and maintaining a knowledge base for how to market the products we sell, and the suppliers we work with in order to gather research needed to develop content.
  • Collaborating with Web Marketing Coordinator and Graphic Designer to ensure projects have the content needed to be completed in a timely manner.
  • Reviewing competitor’s websites for features/trends to add to and/or enhance our website.
  • Participating in marketing planning meetings, and offering suggestions/insight into marketing opportunities to help promote products/programs/Nelson-Jameson.
  • Completing other duties and special projects as assigned.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English or equivalent work experience.


Experience:
One to two years of professional experience in a similar position is desired. Experience in Database Management preferred.


Knowledge:
MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)

Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.)

Skills Needed:
