GENERAL DUTIES:

The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for developing and delivering instructor-led training and online training modules for all system related training and education programs. Coordinate the process used to deliver this information to franchisees. Deliver educational content for both in-person and virtual formats. Work closely with Director of Training & Events in overseeing the Training & Events budget.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • KOA Annual Convention: Work cross-functionally with KOA departments to coordinate relevant educational opportunities at the annual convention. Recruit appropriate outside experts to support KOAs training initiatives
  • KOA University: Work closely with Director of Training & Events to monitor and adjust program based on feedback and topical necessity
  • KOA University – Online: Ensure quality video training and learning management system (LMS) are administered to KOA standards. Recruit subject matter experts (SME) to create additional content. Research and write content from scratch. Update existing library. Offer trouble-shooting support for users
  • KOA University – Manager School: Manage course structure and advanced-level content. Recruit SMEs and work cross-functionally to deliver online training on industry specific topics
  • KOA Guest Service Initiative: Drive employment culture through KOAs Guest Service Initiative by developing content and managing program use
  • Training Materials: Maintain KOA’s system related manuals (printed and electronic).

OTHER

  • Special projects and assignments, as needed
  • Assist with additional corporate training as assigned

EXPECTED RESULTS:

  • Collect input from senior KOA management and franchisees to build training material
  • Research and write new training content that contributes value to the KOA franchisees
  • Expand use and improve functionality of KOAs LMS

· Highly cross-functional role with all KOA departments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Requires long periods of sitting and viewing computer screens (85%) or standing

· Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally

· Requires use of hands for typing, handling paperwork, & other office functions

· Must speak and write English fluently

· Ability to travel by air and auto

· Ability to stoop, kneel, and crouch

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Management, or equivalent (at least 3 years)

experience in any of the fields listed

  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office and other related technology
  • Strong organizational skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment

· Flexibility of work schedule based on department needs, which may include evenings and weekends

  • Selected candidate will work out of the Home Office located in Billings, MT

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $41,000.00 - $51,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
