Machine Operator / Machine Operator Assistant

About HPC: We are a privately owned corrugated box manufacturer in Harleysville PA.

We are looking for: Machine operators and assistants for first shift (6 am to 2 pm) and second shift (2pm to 10pm)

Responsibilities:

- Change over from previous job to new job.

- Notify Material handlers of stock requirements.

- Make-ready job according to customer requirements.

- Complete inspections and enter data on shop floor reporting system.

- Test equipment to check operation.

- Clear jams and works on eliminating operational malfunctions in machinery.

- May be required to stack parts up to 30 lbs. for a period of up to 10 hours.

Required Skills / Qualifications

- Proficiency with troubleshooting, repairs and adjusting in order to meet the specifications.

- Ability to use hand tools and trade type tools.

- Ability to be standing for long periods of time and work in tight confined spaces.

- Flexibility in changing priorities and working independently. Willingness to assist in all jobs on the plant floor.

- Ability to work overtime, including Saturdays, as necessary.

- Work closely with other production personnel as part of a team in support of a manufacturing operation with a goal of increasing productivity.

- Ability to share ideas with others to solve problems.
