Site-Based Project Manager – Mobilization, Safety & Logistics Leader

Website Gulf of America Logistics (GoAL)

Veteran-owned specialized logistics company

Who We Are

Gulf of America Logistics (GoAL) is a veteran-owned company built on strong principles, reliability, and a commitment to doing things the right way.

We specialize in managing complex, large-scale cargo movements and logistics operations across the United States and globally, delivering practical solutions our clients can depend on.

At GoAL, we value integrity, teamwork, and commitment, and we are proud to support a workforce where our people are trusted, respected, and empowered to succeed.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead daily yard and mobilization operations with an uncompromising focus on safety, equipment readiness, and execution quality.
  • Set the safety standard on site-run JSAs/TBTs, enforce OSHA and company policies, conduct inspections, and ensure safe handling of all cargo, chemicals, and heavy assets.
  • Plan and deliver mobilizations and demobilizations by coordinating crews, equipment, vessels, subcontractors, and facilities to meet demanding project schedules.
  • Own equipment and inventory accuracy in Magaya, ensuring every asset is received, tracked, manifested, and shipped in line with company procedures.
  • Drive equipment reliability and readiness by scheduling maintenance, repairs, certifications, and inspections so nothing delays a loadout.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop yard and logistics teams, building a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
  • Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders to keep cargo moving and projects aligned with scope, timeline, and expectations.
  • Oversee warehouse and yard activities to ensure safe storage, proper rigging practices, and efficient loading and transport operations.

What This Role Requires

  • Proven experience leading yard operations, project cargo, mobilizations, or heavy equipment logistics in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA-driven safety programs, with a track record of running safe, compliant, incident-free operations.
  • Hands-on leadership - you are comfortable in the field, around crews, equipment, and active loadouts, not behind a desk.
  • Experience with inventory and asset control systems (Magaya or similar) with a high standard for accuracy and accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining safety, quality, and schedule.
  • Confidence managing subcontractors, vendors, and client interfaces in time-critical operations.
  • Solid understanding of rigging practices, heavy lift planning, equipment readiness, and safe cargo handling.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance, inspections, and certifications for heavy equipment and tools.
  • Working knowledge of hazardous material storage and handling requirements (SDS, segregation, fire lockers, etc.).
  • The ability to read the operation, make decisions quickly, and solve problems in real time without losing control of the plan.

What We're Looking For

  • A safety-first leader who runs toward responsibility, sets the tone in the yard, and makes compliance and safe execution the standard - not the exception.
  • A hands-on mobilization expert who is just as comfortable on the ground with crews and equipment as they are coordinating vendors, vessels, and clients.
  • A planner and problem solver who can see three steps ahead, remove roadblocks quickly, and keep complex, multi-location projects moving on schedule.
  • Someone who owns the details - from manifests and inventory accuracy in Magaya to equipment readiness and customs documentation - because you know small misses cause big delays.
  • A people leader and culture builder who develops strong teams, holds high standards, and creates a yard where accountability and teamwork go hand in hand.
  • A professional who can manage subcontractors, brokers, and stakeholders with confidence, protecting both the schedule and the client relationship.
  • Experience in heavy equipment logistics, project cargo, vessel mobilizations, or industrial yard operations in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment.
  • The ability to pivot quickly without losing control of safety, quality, or the plan.
