WebCitz, LLC

WebCitz, LLC, located in Menasha, WI, is interested in hiring a Front End Web Developer to its team. This is an exciting position that would allow the ideal candidate to work as part of a team to develop and maintain mobile-friendly, visually-impacting websites for clients across dozens of business industries both local to our area and across the country. You will be challenged to push the envelope to learn new ways to improve website development projects and engage customers in the process while working in an exciting environment that values teamwork, communication and personal growth.

The ideal individual must have 4+ years of experience in web development, working within WordPress utilizing modern web technologies. Please understand this position will involve higher than average HTML/CSS skill requirements. Please do not apply if your experience and portfolio is limited to tutorial examples, school projects, website builders or basic HTML websites. This position will be alongside other developers within the company, some of equal or greater experience, so the opportunity to learn from and work within a team is great. We are flexible with years of experience if the portfolio of past work outweighs the time in the industry.

What you will be doing:

  • Work in collaboration with designers and other developers to launch fully functional experiences.
  • Integrate designs and business requirements into CMS and ecommerce platforms such as WordPress / WooCommerce. Knowledge in other CMS platforms is a plus.
  • Continue to expand knowledge of new technologies, as well as strengthen current knowledge base.
  • Build responsive sites for mobile and desktop web experiences.
  • Follow the latest advancements in frontend technologies and techniques.
  • Review code and mentor others on best-practices for frontend development.

What you should be able to add to our team:

  • An impeccable eye for detail on all aspects of a project.
  • The ability to match UI to any design request within a cross-browser environment.
  • A desire to own a project from beginning to end, with a strong work ethic.
  • The ability to self-manage during projects and proactively raise issues/concerns to the entire team, not just to those who will listen.
  • Fluency in HTML5/CSS3 and able to develop valid client-side markup.
  • A strong understanding of CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
  • A strong understanding in leveraging CSS architecture patterns for code reuse and modularity, such as OOCSS, BEM and SMACSS.
  • A strong understanding of debugging through a browser’s developer tools.
  • A strong fundamental knowledge of JavaScript and popular frameworks such as jQuery.
  • A strong understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
  • A strong understanding in OOP/OOO and functional design within the context of JavaScript.
  • A solid understanding of frontend build tools such as webpack, gulp, grunt, etc.

This is a full-time position, requiring at least 36 hours per week, but ideally 40 hours per week. This is a 5-day per week position, performed entirely onsite at our business location. There is no working from home and you must be willing and able to maintain standard work hours of ~9am to ~5pm. Additionally, the ideal candidate must have a firm understanding of time management, including recording of time spent within a project manager, staying within client budget / scope, and communicating project obstacles to management prior to issues arising.

Please send your resume and portfolio to us for consideration. After reviewing the resume and portfolio, if we see the type of experience required we will contact you to setup an interview.
