Front-End Developer - Digital Testing - KOHLS - Menomonee Falls, WI

Responsible for coding A/B & multivariate test experiences, special projects, sale events, and other seasonal and creative real estate across all digital channels.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

EXECUTE DIGITAL CONTENT PRODUCTION

• Develop delightful experiences for our customers by developing and implementing A/B & multivariate testing
• Design, build, and maintain performant, responsive, and delightful experiences
• Embrace and champion engineering best practices
• Produce readable, well-documented, high quality, and efficient code
• Engage actively in code and design reviews with peers and partners
• Contribute engineering input and feedback into product planning processes
• Partner with fellow engineering and marketing teams to deliver on complex initiatives together based upon our shared business strategy

TROUBLESHOOT TECHNICAL ISSUES

• Effectively and efficiently identifies issues, developing conclusions and providing solutions
• Effectively and efficiently communicates both written and verbal issues to peers, partners and management
• Demonstrates advanced understanding around troubleshooting design and html issues
• Effectively analyzes processes and suggests improvements or automations to get work done
• Contributes to the evolution of our development workflows and tooling

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

• Proficiency with Javascript and CSS

• Proficient with writing semantic markup and well formed HTML

• Ability to enhance designs with complementary animations, transitions, etc.

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• A solid understanding of core web and browser concepts, e.g., how does JavaScript handle asynchronous code

• Excellent time and priority management skills

• Strong code debugging skills

• Reliable and self-directed

PREFERRED

• A bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent academic background

• Experience with JavaScript framework(s)

• Experience with digital A/B and multivariate testing

• Knowledge of versioning systems, e.g., Git

• An understanding of Digital Analytics

• Strong understanding of digital accessibility standards, e.g., WCAG AA

• Have knowledge of build systems running on Node.js

• Able to implement and advise on technical SEO solutions

• A strong understanding of design and UX

• Experience using design software (Ex: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Sketch, Etc.)
