The Facilities Specialist maintains a clean, safe and healthy environment for student success at Sheridan College.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Driver License
- Possess a good attitude
- Understanding of cleaning procedures and techniques per assigned area(s)
- Able to read and write
- Respond to verbal and written instructions
- Assist with painting, light carpentry, minor plumbing repair, preventive maintenance, check and service fire extinguishers, light bulbs replacement.
- Work well within a team
- Assist in snow removal on campus
- Computer skills—expected to learn how to: receive & send email, navigate the web, operate in windows environment
- Maintain an organized work area
- Manage duties to complete tasks per schedule
- Maintain equipment and supplies necessary to meet needs of designated area
- Proficiency with cleaning agents and equipment
- Familiarity with general room and building usage
- Aware of and follow safety procedures (SDS forms)
Occasional evenings and weekends
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work on a ladder and work overhead
Sheridan College is located in historic Sheridan, WY at the foot of the beautiful Big Horn Mountains, minutes away from a variety of outdoor recreational activities. NWCCD also includes a small campus site in Buffalo, WY.
One-two years of custodial experience preferred.
