CHELCO, a member-focused, not-for-profit electric cooperative, seeks a Member Services Representative to serve our members in our Freeport Area Office.

As a Member Services Representative, your role will be pivotal. You will be able to assist our members in person and over the phone. You'll follow established guidelines and policies to surpass member expectations, maintain updated member accounts in our databases, and route service orders efficiently. Moreover, you'll be privileged to share valuable information about cooperative programs and services that directly benefit our members. By joining our experienced team, you'll play an integral part in empowering your community.

Minimum Requirements:
To excel in this role, we're seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of previous customer service experience.
Key Skills and Abilities:
You must also possess the following skills and abilities:

Exceptional customer service skills with a strong service-oriented approach.
Proficiency in problem-solving and active listening.
A keen sense of problem sensitivity.
Basic computer skills and comfort with applications like Microsoft Office and internet-based tools.
The ability to discuss and communicate billing information effectively.
Competence in using math skills to count currency.
Preferred experience in cash handling and drawer balancing.
