We are seeking a Machining Specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in the production process of commercial wood doors. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating and maintaining woodworking machinery, with a keen eye for precision and quality. We are also open to discussing the job with candidates without experience that are willing to learn.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks related to receiving, storing, packing, and shipping products while meeting productivity, quality, safety, behavioral, and attendance expectations
  • Operate and maintain woodworking machinery such as saws, planers, routers, and mortisers to produce wood door components according to specifications
  • Set up and adjust machine settings to ensure accurate and consistent machining of wood materials, optimizing efficiency and minimizing waste
  • Interpret technical drawings and templates to determine machining requirements and dimensions for wood door components
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures in all machining operations, promoting a safe, clean, and organized working environment for all team members
  • Operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stack materials or products
  • Safely maneuvering the forklift in tight spaces and around obstacles
  • Loading and unloading materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
  • Assisting with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as inventory management or order packing

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks
  • Good communication skills to work effectively with other team members
  • Ability to follow directions for task completion and to adhere to safety protocols
  • Commitment to quality craftsmanship and continuous improvement/a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Optional Qualifications:

  • A valid Texas driver’s license and a clean driving record for candidates over the age of 21(CDL not necessary)
  • Additional technical training or certification in machining or woodworking
  • Experience operating woodworking machinery, tools, and equipment
  • Valid forklift operator certification/license
  • Prior experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting
