We are currently recruiting for Business Development Executive to help with the prospecting, relationship building, and negotiation of transportation services in the Twin Cities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Under the direction of the Service Center Manager:
  • This position is safety-sensitive and requires pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Loading of customer orders at the warehouse in a timely fashion
  • Accuracy and completeness of all paperwork related to customer orders
  • Compliance with all OSHA, DOT and other governmental agencies’ rules and regulations by all terminal personnel and operators.
  • A safe work environment for all personnel working at the terminal
  • Safety performance of all terminal personnel
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Compliance with all customers’ requirements
  • Optimization of operation to reduce cost (overtime) and maximize productivity
  • Management reports, various, daily, weekly and monthly
  • On time delivery of all customers’ orders
  • Upkeep and maintenance of all company equipment such as trailers, transfer hoses, forklifts, etc.
  • Resolution of all customer issues
  • Hands on individual required.
  • Implementation of the company’s disciplinary policies.

  • Manage web-based order entry systems and create sales orders for customers
  • Ensure proper pricing on invoices
  • Assist the sales manager in the development of customer's category management projects
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Social facility - comfortable meeting new people and building networks with people at all levels in an organization, as well as interfacing with the public
  • Persuasive - convince others to change their minds/behavior by providing compelling advice or information. Be able to "sell" an idea, product or action
  • Communication - express ideas clearly in both written and verbal correspondence, listen effectively, and share information appropriately with persons inside and outside the organization
  • Critical thinking - use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Resilient - able to cope with rejection and persist on a task or project despite challenges or setbacks

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Supply Chain, Sales, Business
  • Strong interest in selling, logistics, business development, management
