APPLICATION DEVELOPER

POSITION SUMMARY

OzarksGo is looking for a leader and team player that has the ability and understanding to optimize and customize server, software, and database assets to best serve OzarksGo members, consumers, and employees.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Network Operations Manager

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical leadership in developing and maintaining database applications with a heavy focus on data conversion and data integration supporting OzarksGo back-end billing, triple-play provisioning, fiber/electrical mapping, and outage databases.
Provide technical leadership/assistance in the development and maintenance of the VM server infrastructure.
Create scripts for data maintenance, system integration, as well as custom processes, ETL (Extract, Transform, and Load) and XML or similar web service integration between systems.
Review, analyze and document data and workflow processes.
Create custom reports and dashboards for real-time and historical data tracking.
Provide technical support for third party systems integrated with OzarksGo website(s) and core applications.
Monitor the performance of OzarksGo applications and servers and assist with technical support as required.
Supports the Mission Statement and Core Values of the Cooperative at all times.
Assist OzarksGo Engineering in determining all software and database needs in conjunction with overall project goals and milestones.
Work with Information Technology to request and provide advice and assistance as required; to confer on problems to seek necessary approvals and to keep informed of departmental and Cooperative policies and procedures and to discuss any unusual problems affecting the job.
Develop proactive working relationships with employees both inside and outside the team.

The Application Developer shall be required to perform any other duties assigned in order to fulfill the objectives of the Cooperative.

EXTERNAL CONTACTS

Members - To courteously answer member inquiries concerning their account and, if unable to do so, to direct them to the appropriate personnel; to make every effort to increase the member's understanding and acceptance of the Cooperatives programs and policies.
Vendors - To create and maintain positive professional and technicalrelationships with all relevant third-party entities.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Education, Job knowledge and Training: High school diploma is required. Technical degree preferred in such disciplines as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Administration, etc.

At least 5 years of experience with the following is required:

SQL
XML
Linux
Windows Server
Scripting languages (Python, Go, PERL, etc.)
Application integration via API
Custom web development

At least 5 years of experience with the following is preferred:

VM Hypervisors (Openstack, VMWare, etc.)
Dell and HP server infrastructure
Juniper router, switch, and firewall infrastructure

Equipment Operated: Must be able to operate all equipment normally found in an office environment. Must have valid driver's license without violation, which would prohibit insurability.

Abilities and Skills: Demonstrate ability to develop formal application specifications and project plans using common documentation tools such as Visio, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project. Demonstrates ability to effectively deal with people under difficult circumstances, communicates well orally and in writing. Must be able to multi-task and meet daily deadlines and perform transactions with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Position requires performance and ability of a variety of mathematical calculations, be proficient in use of personal computer Microsoft Office software is used on a daily basis, calculators/10-key and other standard office equipment in the completion of duties.

Working Conditions: Normal office conditions, some irregular hours may be required. After an offer of employment has been made, a physical examination is required which will include drug testing and Physical Capacity Profile.
