POSITION SUMMARY:

The operations (OPS) Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and smooth execution of all operational tasks within Amerijet International Inc, particularly in traffic, cooler and warehouse operations often including tasks like assisting in employee scheduling, project monitoring, and deadline management, requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities. The OPS Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all activities related to the operational workflow, ensuring alignment with company policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned from time to time.

Serves as manager backup in the absence of the manager, overseeing operations and decision-making responsibilities.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards and participate in safety training programs and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Support management with schedules, maintaining records, preparing reports, organizing meetings.
Identifying areas for optimization and implementing changes to streamline operations.
Support in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate operational effectiveness.
Monitoring project progress, ensuring deadlines are met, and addressing potential roadblocks.
Communicates to management regarding necessities of training for personnel.
Directs staff in expediting shipments received and domestic truck offloads to avoid delays.
Ensures all shipments are staged in the proper designated area.
Expedites export arrangements and maintains current/updated information on export restrictions, procedures, and other regulatory organizations.
Exercises independent judgment to process required duties timely.
Maintains constant communication with other operational departments regarding inbound or outbound flights.
Maximizes aircraft ULD pallet capacity during the built-up cargo process.
Follows CEIV guidelines and regulations.
Interacts with government agencies (CBP, FDA, DEA, Fish and Wildlife, MDAD) as needed.
Monitors and schedules according to workflow demand.
Trains and supports the team on shift to ensure optimal performance.
Consults with Operations Manager on employee situations.
Generates incident reports as needed and escalates issues to Operations Manager for further handling.
Directs Office Agents in expediting import and export activities.
Ensures all shipment bookings are prioritized for flights.
Maintains current/updated information on export and import restrictions, procedures, and other regulatory organizations.
Support operational needs and additional Duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Must be 18 years of age or older
High School Diploma or GED
At least 1 year or more of experience as a warehouse supervisor at Amerijet International.
At least 2 years or more of prior warehouse or distribution experience.
Must be able to work flexible hours.
Must be able to accomplish computerized transactions in PMI, Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, UNIX, Lotus Notre and Internet Explorer.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to read, communicate and understand English.
Ability to apply common sense understanding carrying out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets Amerijet’s insurance standards.
Pass a ten (10) years criminal record background check for SIDA badge.
Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will not have direct reports but may assign work to team members within the shift and provide training for new team members.

Physical Activities and Requirements of the Position:

Ability to repetitively lift, carry and position objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to repetitively push and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance while kneeling, squatting, reaching about the head, reaching at the waist, reaching below the knees and bending at the knees
Ability to repetitively push and pull manual transport equipment (for example, pallet jack or hand truck) containing product loads up to a minimum of 100 yards without assistance
Ability to repetitively grasp and manipulate objects of varying size and weight requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
Ability to exert oneself physically over sustained periods of time to complete job activities
Ability to read information in small, medium and large print
Ability to stand a minimum of 8 hours during the workday and up to 12 hours
Frequently work in a hot/humid indoor environment
