This position calls for an experienced developer to join our development team to assist in creating and optimizing high performance 3D datasets in the geo-spatial industry. This position calls for a strong mathematics/game development background and a focus on optimizing large, unorganized 3D source datasets derived of LiDAR and Imagery for game engines and computer graphics. Problem solving skills and creativity are a must.


  • Contribute to proprietary standalone desktop and web applications within game engines that can visualize and render large amounts of LiDAR and Imagery data.
  • Create automated pipelines and algorithms for high poly 3D textured mesh construction from imagery and LiDAR for the purposes of photo-realistic environment re-creation, data insights, and reinforcement learning tools.
  • Design and implement 3D model storage and access schemas that allow fast detection and placement of data insights and analytics.
  • Work with 3D textured mesh and point cloud data across multiple coordinate projections.
  • Design and implement advanced data loading and optimization techniques to display city scale environments on consumer level hardware.
  • Optimize existing codebase for increased performance and accuracy;
  • A deep understanding of various rendering techniques across a wide spectrum of geometry types such as points, lines, images, polygons and 3D textured meshes.
  • Strong working mathematics background with a focus on 3D rendering concepts;
  • A deep understanding of common geometry interaction/manipulation algorithms involving ray casting, raytracing, intersection tests, voxels and more.
  • A deep understanding of various signal processing and computer vision techniques;
  • Develop and direct application testing and validation procedures and programming;
  • Analyze user needs and requirements then collaborate and confer with team members interfaces on project limitations and performance requirements;
  • Fix reported bugs/defects and check cross platform compatibility;
  • Communicate technical designs and solutions in clear, concise and easily readable format for both technical and non-technical personnel;
  • Participate in reviews of documentation, code, and tests for teammates;
  • Maintain understanding of new and emerging technology, including ease of use, maturity, adoption, and how it may be used at CycloMedia Technology;


  • The minimum requirements for this position are a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Game Design or Mathematics and 2 years of work experience or applicable experience.
  • Proficiency in C# .NET, and at least one other major programming language (C++, Objective C, Java)
  • A solid understanding of common design patterns, object-oriented programming, and testing methodologies.
  • Experience with working on various machine learning and computer vision concepts and techniques.
  • A strong working mathematics background with a focus on 3D rendering concepts.
  • Applicants with background or experience with GIS, Remote Sensing, Imaging, or LiDAR preferred.
  • Must be able to work with multiple development teams spread across multiple geographical regions.
  • Experience with 3D Gaming engines such as Unity3D is also recommended.
