NOTE: While this position is not intended for only remote work, in an effort to keep our employees safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as adhere to CDC and local government requirements, this position may, at times, be permitted or required to work remotely to meet business needs.
This position will maintain a portion of the statewide network across the region, coordinating with other technicians to integrate their region of operation into the entire network/ telecommunications system. Technicians design systems and interface equipment in the region, while assisting in the design and implementation of systems statewide. This position assists in coordinating maintenance schedules, monitoring inventory, and calibrating test and diagnostic instruments.

Successful applicants must have the ability to independently respond to emergency and routine maintenance and support for communications systems located in remote locations 24/7/365. This will include responding to emergencies on a 24-hour basis and work alone at night in remote locations.
Applicants must be able to independently move state owned vehicles into and out of maintenance bays on a regular basis.
