POSITION OVERVIEW SECTION

This effort includes tasks and activities to be performed by the contractor to support the USAFSAM Aerospace Medicine Consultation Division specifically to support clinical and operational data analysis.

Essential Job Functions

Tasks Overview

Data Modeling & AnalysisDesign algorithms and predictive models.
Conduct trend analysis on clinical and operational datasets.
Data ManagementClean, organize, and integrate data from multiple sources into warehouses.
Ensure data integrity for research and analysis.
Applied Research & InnovationUse advanced data science methods to solve aeromedical challenges.
Draft/edit research documents (protocols, proposals, manuscripts, etc.).
Collaboration & CommunicationWork with researchers, medical professionals, government officials.
Attend and contribute to expert and academic meetings.
Review relevant scientific literature.
Qualifications
Minimum Position Requirements

Education & ExperienceMaster's in Data Science or related field + 5 years' experience, or PhD in relevant field (e.g., Computational Geometry).
Coursework in computer science, statistics, analytics, etc.
Technical ExpertiseStrong background in Topological Data Analysis (TDA), machine learning, and common toolkits.
Proficiency in SQL, ORACLE, and data science tools.
Operations research and data storytelling proficiency.
Soft SkillsProfessionalism, attention to detail, and fluent English.
Independent and collaborative work ability.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
ComplianceNDA required before starting due to access to sensitive information.
Highly Desired Qualifications

Experience publishing in Computational Geometry, TDA, or Computational Topology.
Experience in military settings or military research environments.
