Position Overview

The Division of Developmental Disabilities is seeking to hire a Physician for the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center located in Anna, Illinois to serve as a primary physician providing general medical examinations and diagnostic and treatment services for intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals.  Serves on standing committees and participates in facility meetings; provides on-call medical services; provides medical services to new and existing employees.

Essential Functions

As an Illinois licensed physician, serves as a primary physician providing general medical examinations and diagnostic and treatment services for intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals at the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center.
Participates in residential services meetings, special program reviews, team/morning meetings, and participates as a member of designated standing committees.
Evaluates and/or treats employees work-related injuries and illnesses and recommends further action.
Serves as physician on call for medical advice or emergency medical assistance after business hours, nights, weekends, and holidays to provide full medical coverage on all shifts at the facility.
Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
