Job Description

Warehouse Manager

1.    Prepare Weekly Schedule for Warehouse Staff

a.    Base on upcoming events, projects, etc.

b.    Compare hours and payroll to previous years to ensure spending is under- budget

c.    Ensure that warehouse is covered during normal hours of operation

d.    Ensure that a warehouse supervisor/manager is present to unload vehicles during off-hours

2.    Supervision of Staff

a.    Warehouse Staff

i.    Assist in training sessions

ii.    Assist in hiring and evaluation process

b.    Event Staff

i.    Assist in training sessions

ii.    Oversee staff compliance with event checklists, loading/unloading of trucks, overall preparedness for event

a)    Event Packet

·         Copy of Contract

·         Directions to Event

·         Event Sheet

·         Credit Card (if necessary)

·         Keys to Vehicle(s) needed for event

·         Inspection Forms: Mechanical & Inflatable (if necessary)

·         Client Drop-Off Sheet (if necessary)

·         Confirmation Sheet

 

3.    Review Weekly Schedule of Events

a.    Confirm that all equipment/supplies are purchased, built and in working order

b.    Coordinate events on loading sheets and event packets

c.    Maintain a list of equipment needing repair

d.    Schedule equipment and vehicle repairs

e.    Update sales staff of equipment that needs to be taken out of or added into inventory

f.     Check public vs. private event status and ensure necessary documentation is taken to jobsite

 

4.    Monitor Loading and Unloading of Vehicles

a.    Ensure proper use of blankets, straps, wrapping

b.    Ensure safe and proper storage of equipment in correct location

 

5.    Monitor the Cleanliness and Upkeep of Warehouse and Equipment

a.    Plan and execute weekly equipment inventory

b.    Plan and execute weekly equipment maintenance

c.    Plan and execute weekly warehouse aisle cleaning

 

6.    Inventory Control

a.    Maintain proper quantities of stock

b.    Maintain safe, clean and suitable working equipment.

c.    Make recommendations and take appropriate actions for equipment in need of repair, maintenance, purchase, etc.

 

7.    Vehicle Maintenance

a.    Prepare for annual inspection in March

b.    Perform routine maintenance as needed

c.    Fill gas cans as needed

d.    Maintain a weekly log of vehicle repairs and maintenance

e.    Ensure event staff properly unloads and cleans vehicles

f.     Keep vehicles clean and washed

g.    Coordinate rental vehicle need and use with Director of Operations (including pick up and return of rental vehicles as needed)

 

8.    Assist Customers with Pick Ups

a.    Load personal vehicles

b.    Explain contract and paperwork;

c.    Explain proper use of equipment

d.    Finalize payment

e.    Provide company phone number and personal cell phone number in case of emergency

f.     Check all returned equipment to make sure it is complete, undamaged and in proper working order

g.    Ensure client signs client pick-up sheet

 

9.    Assist Director of Operations

a.    Assist/Lead training sessions for new hires

b.    Confirm events as needed

c.    Other duties as assigned

 

10. Assist Sales Team

a.    Answer phones, take detailed messages and deliver information to the appropriate person
