Compensation: Competitive wage dependent on experience

Skookum is seeking a detail-oriented Office Specialist. Office Specialist performs all functions necessary to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, compiling, and maintaining material and parts inventory and delivery, tracking, and storage of mail according to safety guidelines and procedures.


Typical duties include but are not limited to:

Verify all work-in-progress including, but not limited to forms and records to ensure quality, completeness, and timeliness.
Must be knowledgeable with all the maintenance levels to train all assigned employees on proper work processes and troubleshooting techniques.
Interpret route maps and contract requirements and regulations as they pertain to the mission.
Maintain accurate service records and contact customers for service appointments.
Locate and move materials and parts between work areas of the plant to expedite the processing of goods, according to pre-determined schedules and priorities.
Confer with supervisors to determine overdue material and parts and inform supervisors of material status.
Locate and distribute materials to specified production areas, manually or using a hand cart, hand truck, or forklift.
Responsible for placing all pieces of mail through the on-site x-ray machine, where available, while ensuring safety protocol for mail screening procedures.
Maintain processing and tracking procedures of mail received by Common Carrier and deliver Common Carrier mail to the intended recipient by close of business of the date it was received, unless otherwise coordinated.

Exceptional experience and knowledge of computers, maintenance management, scheduling systems, filing, report generation, and all administrative tasks.
Demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy; planning and organizing; scheduling and monitoring.
Ability to provide customer service in a professional and courteous manner.
Knowledgeable in all areas of maintenance operations, work safety, and HAZMAT.

Valid state driver’s license with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum’s insurance carrier.
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
A pre-employment drug screen is required.
