SierTek Ltd. is seeking a Help Desk Technician to support an opportunity at Wright Patterson, AFB, Dayton, Ohio.
At this entry level position, you will be responsible for helping our technical support team to provide excellent customer service and resolve all technical issues.
As a help desk technician, you should have a solid technical background combined with customer service experience. A problem-solving attitude to achieve specific goals are essential skills to perform well in this position to ensure high quality technical support and increase client satisfaction.
Essential Job Functions
Provide on-site support to medically sensitive and often critical systems.
Includes troubleshooting and resolving client system’s hardware and software issues by employing both remote and local access tools and techniques.
Assist the Cyber Systems Security team:prepare for inspections.
in identifying and applying cyber threat preventive measures
Document all work performed in Incident Management System
Provide walk-up help desk support & technical during core hours.As well as emergency on-call, after hours
Prepare all IT systems according to AF and AFMS configuration guidelines from new equipment through full lifecycle and manage all required software installations and configurations.
Maintain all paperwork provided by the inventory manager and complete any forms provided to document movement of assets.
Maintain forms or paperwork filled out by government personnel that detail accountability of IT assets issued or turned- in/replaced.
Minimum Position Requirements
Verifiable, hands on experience with IT service fulfillment and remote access software
Solid technical background with an ability to give instructions to a non-technical audience
Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving attitude
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Sec+ required for elevated permission on DoD IT systems
Must be able to obtain a NACI (Tier1) Clearance.
Highly Desired Qualifications
A+ and ITILv4 Foundations very desirable
