About the Role:
Reporting to the Regional Controller, the Accounts Payable professional contributes to a fantastic finance team, ensuring accurate, timely and efficient administration and handling of Accounts payable, Capital Assets, Inventory Costing, and GL Account Reconciliation. The AP performs established processes according to verbal or written instructions, accepts individual responsibility for achievement of scheduled accounting timelines and for quality of work produced, including verification of output to corresponding source documents. The AP will utilize accounting software and associated computer programs required to ensure accurate records are maintained and completes appropriate and timely data entry processes and documentation according to procedure established into our perpetual based accounting system. Additional responsibilities:
Possesses the communication skills to interact with interrelated departments to ensure accurate and timely information is recorded.
Support the monthly accounting close through analysis of the general ledger accounts.
Review, verify and match incoming payables to receivings. Enter payables into accounting system review for accuracy and post daily activity according to company guidelines.
Opens, date stamps, and distributes all incoming mail.
Track Capital Assets and perform quarterly audits of same.
Liaise with Materials area and report on inventory costing related issues.
Maintains the confidence of the Manager. Subjective appraisal performed as part of Performance Development Review (PDR)
Consistently meets Accounting deadlines as defined by the monthly schedule
Maintains a positive, proactive attitude as jointly determined by relevant senior managers
Follows guidelines established with ISO 9000:2000 quality system
About the Candidate:
You have at least 1-2 years experience with similar duties, along with a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance, equivalent experience, and able to work in a high-pressure environment. You are proactive and able to identify and communicate suggestions for process improvement. You are customer service focused, able to establish good relationships, and have an appreciation of the requirements of internal and external stake holders.

Plans in order to meet own objectives. Puts in place monitoring processes and makes appropriate adjustments when progress is not as planned or when requirements change. Plans own time to maximum effect.
High level of personal organization.
Relates data from different sources to reach logical conclusions. Recognises and acts within the limits of own delegated authority. Reaches decisions in an objective manner without compromising product quality and with an understanding of the interests of the business.
Uses communication skills effectively in one-to-one. Ability to listen objectively. Adjusts style of communication according to the needs of the audience
Salary: In accordance with California law, the expected rate for this position is between $27-$30 per hour. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
