Overview

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Controller at Classic Transport. This position is full time and offers great benefits. 

 Job expectations

The Controller will perform daily activities, including, but not limited to, daily sales posting, fleet card reconciliation and payment, bank reconciliations, A/P & A/R, collections, and other general office work. The Controller will also assist the CFO with projects, budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end closings, preparation of 1099s, tax reporting, regulatory reporting, and other projects as required. The Controller will provide support to, as well as work in tandem with the CFO. As such, it will be their responsibility to supervise the accounting department when the CFO is away.

 Education and experience

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required for this position. Prior experience in accounting is a must. Human resources, legal/regulatory, and management experience is preferred.

 Skills and qualifications

A strong candidate for this position will possess solid oral and written communication skills, time management skills, be detail-oriented, and a self-starter.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel is required. Knowledge of TMW and Great Plains accounting packages are preferred, but not required.
